Application Note
Graphene Coating Xtreme is a high-performance product with a strong odor and requires careful application. We recommend applying it in well-ventilated areas. Thanks to its Borophene Infusion, it offers flexibility (Mandrel Bend 0% at 180°), which effectively prevents cracking in the coating.

IMPORTANT: The application should be carried out in a closed, well-ventilated garage at temperatures between 15°C and 25°C. Avoid direct sunlight and high humidity during application and the initial curing phase.
How to apply ceramic coating correctly
Step-by-step instructions for perfect results and long-lasting protection!
- Thorough Wash: Clean the vehicle thoroughly (two-bucket method) and dry it completely.
- Decontamination: We recommend using a detailing clay (clay bar) to remove industrial fallout and tar.
- Polish: For maximum results, the paintwork should be polished to remove scratches and oxidation.
- Degreasing: Wipe all surfaces with an isopropanol cleaner (panel wipe) to remove any remaining polishing oils or wax residues. The paint must be absolutely grease-free.
- Preparation: Tightly wrap one of the 10x10cm suede cloths around the applicator block.
- Dosage: Shake the graphene bottle well. Apply approx. 5–8 drops of the coating to the cloth.
- Application (criss-cross method): Apply the product to small areas (approx. 50x50 cm). Work first in vertical, then in horizontal strokes (criss-cross method) to ensure complete coverage.
- Flash-off time: Watch for "sweating" (small beading) or a slight rainbow effect on the paint. This usually takes 1 to 3 minutes, depending on the temperature.
- First Removal: Take a fresh edgeless microfiber cloth from the roll and wipe over the surface without applying too much pressure to remove excess material.
- Finish: Use a second, clean cloth from the roll to buff the surface to a high gloss. Check the result for streaks (high spots) with a light source (inspection lamp or flashlight).
- Layer structure: If a second layer is desired, it can be applied after approx. 40 minutes.
- Waiting time: The vehicle must remain stationary for at least 5 hours after application (bone dry).
- Water contact: The car must not get wet (rain/condensed water) during the first 3 days, as the coating builds up its full chemical resistance during this time.
- First wash: Do not wash the vehicle for at least 7 days after application (always use a pH-neutral shampoo!)
- Cloth change: Change the microfiber cloth regularly (after approx. 2 components). Graphene hardens in the cloth and could otherwise cause micro-scratches.
- Protection: Always wear nitrile gloves during application and ensure good ventilation.
- Rims & Plastic: The coating can also be applied to rims and unpainted plastics to protect them from brake dust and fading.
Note: Once opened, bottles should be used within 6 months. Close the bottle tightly immediately after use.

With correct application and regular hand washing, the 21CARS® Graphene Coating offers protection for 2 to 5 years. The durability strongly depends on mileage and parking conditions. In the Swiss Alps, where vehicles are exposed to extreme UV radiation and aggressive winter road maintenance, we recommend an annual refresh with a Graphene Detailer to maintain maximum hydrophobicity (beading).
As a beginner in Switzerland, can I apply the Graphene Set myself?
Yes! Our set is designed as an "all-in-one" solution. Thanks to the included 25 edgeless microfiber towels and the ergonomic applicator block, application is safe even for home users. A clean, dry environment (garage) is important. The flash-off time for our formula is set to be very user-friendly, so streaking (high spots) is minimized when the instructions are followed.
